What are Domer Dollars?
Domer Dollars are convenient electronic funds that you purchase by credit card, cash or check, and are programmed remotely onto your University ID Card. Domer Dollars allow you to buy just about anything on campus without the need to carry cash or credit cards. Unlike a credit card, there are no mounting debts with Domer Dollars, no interest charged, and no monthly bill - just a record of the debits made from your previously deposited funds.
About Deposits
Credit Card: Through the link above ("Make a deposit"), you may make Domer Dollar deposits online ($20.00 minimum) using a credit or debit by MasterCard, Visa or Diner's Club. (If you are uncertain of the student netID you may easily look it up through the same link.)
Cash or Check: You may also make cash or check deposits ($10.00 minimum) in the Card Services Office. Checks should be made out to the University of Notre Dame. Our mailing address is: Card Services Office, University of Notre Dame, P.O. Box 1129, Notre Dame, IN 46556.Benefits
When you buy Domer Dollars, you expand your ID card into a debit card that can be used to make purchases at the most frequently used businesses on the Notre Dame campus.
Safety: Domer Dollars allow you to make purchases without the need to carry cash. Because your ID displays your photograph, only you can use the card to make a purchase. Report lost ID cards immediately, using our link to the upper left of this page in the "Check Balances" button.
Convenience: Domer Dollars eliminate the need to carry cash, and they speed up your checkout time. Never again worry about not having enough cash.
Budgeting: Tracking your expenditures is made easy. A monthly Domer Dollars account statement is sent to your Notre Dame e-mail address.
Frequently Asked Questions (F.A.Q.)
Q: How do I know what my account balance is?
A: Your account balance is displayed after every puchase. You also receive a monthly statement by e-mail.
Q: Do Domer Dollars expire?
A: No. Your balance carries forward as long as you are enrolled at or employed by the University of Notre Dame. Remaining balances over $5.00 will be credited to your Student Account upon separation or termination from the University. Student Accounts will then reconcile the account and send remaining funds to your forwarding address.
